What is the Early Years Learning Framework?

What is the National Quality Framework?

Ashmore Community Children’s Centre has been assessed as “Exceeding National Quality Standard”. This means the “Service goes beyond the requirements of the National Quality Standard in at least 4 of the 7 quality areas, with at least two of these being quality areas 1, 5, 6, or 7.”

What if my child is sick?

We request that children who are sick are kept at home to prevent the spread of virus’ and illness to other children in the centre. If your child becomes unwell during the day, we notify those listed as contacts on the enrolment forms, so please ensure these are kept up to date.

What happens on public holidays?

The centre is closed on public holidays and the normal daily fee is charged for public holidays and all absences. There is no charge for the centre’s closure over the Christmas period. Please note that we are a not-for-profit centre and keep our daily fees as low as possible and still need to charge for public holidays and absences to cover operational costs.

What happens if my family goes away for a holiday?

Any absences will still be charged the daily fee.

Are you open over Christmas?

The centre closes for 2 weeks over the Christmas period. We publish these dates at the start of the year to ensure families can plan ahead for the shutdown period.  

There is no charge for the centre’s closure over the Christmas period.

Do you provide food?

All our food is prepared in our on-site kitchen by our dedicated cooks. All food meets the Nutrition Australia guidelines.

What do I need to provide for my child each day?

A change of clothing that is weather appropriate (younger children- especially those toilet training- will need extra changes)

A security item for rest time.

Nappies if required.
